First Presbyterian Church in Huron held an intergenerational event which drew families and people of all ages to come together to decorate pillowcases.
Together in Service is the national PW’s hands-on mission program, which sponsored the project as a way for Presbyterians to demonstrate love, concern and prayers for the children affected by Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico. PW Inc. partnered with the three presbyteries on the island of Puerto Rico to distribute the pillowcases through Presbyterian churches and schools.
Each pillowcase included personal prayers and messages in Spanish tucked inside. The finished pillowcases were dedicated during a worship service and sent on to be shipped to Puerto Rico.
